NSR started in 1990, and was formed by Patrick Rhoden, aka Jack Daggers, Sandra Smith ex manager from the post eighties rock punk band babes in Toyland, and Karen Black, former New York model, and now in the band called the Karen Black Experience. The mission was to create a music/video production label based on word of mouth, and the Internet. Using artists who specialise in audiovisual and graphic design from the North London Area; the aim was to prove, that any person interested in graphic design, music, and video could get his products out there, without the help of record and publishing companies.
The aim of the brief is to design a video installation to enhance the company image. These products are: CD packages including a design for a sticker on CD (round), 4 page booklet for the front of the CD case and a print for the back of the CD case incorporating text, graphics and images. An A4 advertising poster with images and text to advertise the company’s products, a stationery set, comprising an A4 writing sheet with letterhead, a compliment slip and a business card incorporating type and vector-graphics.
